Murat Karakus received his B.Sc. in Mathematics from Suleyman Demirel University (2009), his M.Sc. in Computer Science and Information Systems from the University of Michigan-Flint (2013), and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Purdue School of Science (2018). He is currently an Associate Professor and the Head of the Department of Software Engineering at Ankara University. Dr. Karakus has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and serves as a reviewer for leading IEEE, ACM, and Elsevier venues. He has served on organizing committees of major IEEE conferences (MeditCom, BalkanCom, BCCA, BlackSeaCom), delivered tutorials at MeditCom 2023, BCCA 2023, and CCNC 2025, and given invited talks at events including IEEE Blockchain Summit 2022, Blockchain Summit Turkiye 2024, SIBIS 2024, ISMSIT 2025, and ISCTurkiye 2025. His research interests include next-generation networking, blockchain, NLP, network scalability, QoS, and routing. He has led several TUBITAK-funded and industry-supported research projects.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Rukiye Savran Kiziltepe is a Principal Investigator at ANLAM-Net Lab in the Department of Software Engineering at Ankara University. Her research focuses on machine learning methods for natural language processing, with emphasis on Turkish sentiment analysis, annotation strategies, applied NLP systems, and robust evaluation of large language models.

Ercan Ezin is a tenured faculty member at Harran University. He received his Ph.D. in Context-Aware Recommender Systems from the University of Bristol (2024) and an MSc from the University of Essex. His research interests include AI, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing, with a focus on Context-Aware Next-POI Recommendations. With a background as a Data Scientist and Software Developer, he combines academic expertise with extensive industry experience in AI research and software engineering.

Prof. Asim Egemen Yilmaz

Prof. Asim Egemen Yilmaz

Prof. Dr. A. Egemen Yilmaz received dual B.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mathematics from Middle East Technical University (METU) in 1997, and completed his M.Sc. (2000) and Ph.D. (2007) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at METU. After holding multiple roles in defense industry companies between 1996 and 2009, he joined Ankara University as a faculty member in 2009. He currently serves as Head of the Departments of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Software Engineering, and also leads the Interdisciplinary Artificial Intelligence Technologies graduate program under the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences. In addition, he is Deputy Director of the Smart Systems and Technologies Research and Application Center (ASTAM). He founded EDY R&D in 2011 and has led software projects, particularly for the defense industry, while also delivering numerous in-person and online certificate programs through his company and continuing education centers at multiple universities. He has authored many national and international peer-reviewed publications with more than 1,250 citations.
